# Törvények — Hungarian national laws

The website is public. API access requires an API key. API keys are issued by the Jogtér administrator (see https://jogter.webzy.help/torvenyek/api-hozzaferes).
Send Authorization: Bearer <API_KEY> on every /api/ request.
The website is https://jogter.webzy.help/torvenyek (laws: /torvenyek/jogszabaly/{id}, court decisions: /torvenyek/hatarozat/{id}); this host serves the API, MCP and documentation.
Always check https://torvenyek.webzy.help/api/status before relying on completeness or freshness.
Scope: national acts, the Fundamental Law and national regulations currently in force at the last successful NJT catalogue check. Municipal ordinances are excluded.
This is a secondary archive; source URLs and check dates are included with every law.

- GET /api/laws?q=munkaviszony&page=1&limit=25 — accent-insensitive full-text search, optional kind and year filters
- GET /api/laws/{id} — complete text, sanitized HTML, Markdown, contents, provenance and retained versions. Laws too large for one piece have content.parts > 0 and content.html empty: fetch GET /api/laws/{id}/parts/{0..parts-1}?version={content.hash} in order (text and Markdown are whole)
- GET /api/laws/{id}/markdown — directly readable legal text
- GET /api/changes — recently imported or changed texts (first imports are included)
- GET /api/export — streaming NDJSON of available current laws; inspect status for coverage. content_source_version and content_fetched_at describe the downloaded text; content_matches_catalogue flags whether it matches the latest catalogue version. GET /api/laws/{id} also returns content_complete, false only for a few table-only decrees too large to archive, where just the first part is stored (see source_url for the rest).

Pagination is deterministic for an unchanged dataset. Imports may update the dataset during pagination. No artificial per-client rate limit is configured; page size bounds memory. Bulk consumers should prefer the streaming export.
